I. Introductory article

1.
Generally British Superbikes 2008 (GR BSB 2008, competition) is competition for freeware game GeneRally, which is promoted by GeneRally Motorsport Federation (GRMFED). The competition governs by Rules of 
Generally British Superbikes 2008 (these rules), which are declared only by GRMFED. Each change of rules by GRMFED must be announced in competition's thread of official GR forum or on 'Current event' page of this site.


II. Sign up

2. Everybody can sign up riders' championship of GR BSB 2008
with exemption of people, who are indexed on General blacklist. Interested person signs up by an e-mail, by a post in competition's thread of official GR forum or by a Private Message.

3. Every
interested person declares the mandatory informations, which are:
a. official GR forum's nickname or other name,
b. e-mail address,
c. number (2-99),
d. nationality,
e. colours,
f. name of team (or word 'privateer').

4. Rider, who doesn't declare all mandatory informations is not registered to the competition.

5. Teams of two riders can sign up to teams' championship of
GR BSB 2008. Both riders of team use same primary color of motorbike.

6. GRMFED sends login informations (nickname and password) for the signed riders at least one day before start of the first round of season. 
GRMFED sends login informations (nickname and password) for the rider as soon as possible afer rider's sign up in case of his sign up after the first race.


III. Login system

7. 
For all rounds is used a login system.

8. Rider's race is started in moment of his login by his nickname and password to the system.

9. Each racer has only one try to race in each round in predefined time period, which is 13 minutes for racing and delivering of the mandatory files after logging in the system.


IV. Calendar and terms

10. Season includes 11 rounds, which are ridden on different RWL tracks in United Kingdom:


1st round - from 5th Oct. to 11th Oct.: Brands Hatch GP,
2nd round - from 12th Oct. to 18th Oct.: Thruxton,
3rd round - from 19th Oct. to 25th Oct.: Oulton Park Int.,
4th round - from 26th Oct. to 1st Nov.: Donington Park GP,
5th round - from 2nd Nov. to 8th Nov.: Snetterton,
6th round - from 9th Nov. to 15th Nov.: Mallory Park,
7th round - from 16th Nov. to 22nd Nov.: Knockhill,
8th round - from 23rd Nov. to 29th Nov.: Cadwell Park,
9th round - from 30th Nov. to 6th Dec.: Croft,
10th round - from 7th Dec. to 13th Dec.: Silverstone Int.,
11th round - from 14th Dec. to 20th Dec.: Brands Hatch INDY.

11. Each round term ends at Saturday, GMT 11:59.59 a.m.


V. Mandatory settings of the game and of the race

12. Mandatory game settings are:
a. race length: 15 km,
b. tyre wear: 1%,
c. fuel consumption: 4%,
d. fuel mass: 5kg,
e. damage: 20%,
f. game speed: 100% or higher.

13. Mandatory race settings are:
a. number of opponents: 5 official AIs,
b.
car: motorbike GRZ900R (GR BSB 2008 version),
d. human rider starts from pole position,
e. rider uses the track file, 
which was prepared for a concrete round and was downloaded by the rider on the login page.

13a. Pit-stops are allowed. Every rider, who drives through pit-lane, loses one lap in race because of checkpoints
(no matter, if he stops in a pit).


VI. Results and pointing system

14. Rider's race is finished in moment, when the mandatory files are delivered to GRMFED's mail. 

15. For results are used only mandatory files, which was delivered before deadline of a round term. If the files are delivered after the end of a round term, they are not complete or they are defective, the rider didn't finish the race.

16. Mandatory files are:
a. screenshot of race (.bmp), which was made in moment of showing race standings by pressing key F11 or F12,
b. .gam file with replay of human rider's race.


17. Results are published on GRMFED's site ('Results') or in competition's thread of official GR forum as soon as possible after the end of a round term, obviously in next 24 hours.

18. Round was won by rider, who crossed the finish line of his race in the fastest time. Position of rider is not affected by result of AIs in his race.

19. Championship points are awarded to the first 15 finishers of a round in order: 25-20-16-13-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1.

20. A team scores in a round by sum of points awarded to the team riders in the round.

21. A team scores to provincial standings of team's championship  for first time in the first round after the team sign up. The settlement of team must be declared to GRMFED at least before the end of the round term.

22. A team scores in final standings of team's championship, only if each of team riders finished at least 3 of 11 rounds.

23. A champion of riders' championship is the rider, who scored most points in sum of all 11 rounds.

24. A champion of teams' championship is the team, which scored most points in sum of all 11 rounds and fulfil condition of article 22.


VII. Offences and penalties

25. Shortcutting and
wallbouncing
a. If a rider will shortcut the track in intention to save a time, the rider will be punished by time penalty of 5 seconds to his time per shortcut.
b. 
If a rider will wallbounce in intention to save a time, the rider will be punished by time penalty of 3 seconds to his time per wallbounce.
c. If the number of shortcuts and wallbounces in rider's race will increase five in sum, the rider will be punished by moving on the back of the pack in the round results.

26. Wrong gr.ini file
If a rider will use wrong gr.ini file, the rider will be punished by time penalty of one lap to his time. Time of the penalty lap is same like the fastest lap of the slowest unpunished racer of the round.

27.
No skidmarks on a screenshot
If the skidmarks on a rider's screenshot will be missing or they will be 
markedly thinner than skidmarks of other rider's screenshots, the rider will be moved on the back of the pack in the round results.

28. Late submit
If the mandatory files of rider's race will be submitted with delay to the  predefined
login time period, the rider will be punished by moving on the back of the pack in the round results.

29. Wrong settings
If a rider will race with another value of game setting or a
nother value of race setting, than which are defined in article 12 with exemption of 12-f (game speed) and article 13, the rider will be punished by moving on the back of the pack in the round results.

30. Wrong game speed
If a rider will race with another value of game setting
, than which is defined in article 12-f (game speed), the rider will be be punished by disqualification from the round.

31. Unlawful modifications of files
If a rider will modify a .trk file, a .car file , a .gam file or a screenshot, the rider will be punished by disqualification from the round.

32. Multiple sign up
If a rider will sign up more than once to the season with different nicknames, the rider will be disqualified from season and indexed to General blacklist of GRMFED.


33. Other offences
If a rider
will obstruct a fair competition by any other behaviour, the rider will be punished in accordance to the offence's weight by a time penalty, by moving the rider on the back of the pack in the round results or by disqualification the rider from the round.

34. If a rider will break these rules strongly and repeatedly although a warning by GRMFED, the rider will be disqualified from whole season and he can be indexed to General blacklist of GRMFED.

35. GRMFED can moderate a punishment for a offender, if the punishment is markedly unreasonable to the offender's profit. 

36.
 GRMFED can dispense a offender from a punishment, if the offender took no profit 
markedly from his offence.

37. If a rider or team has any doubt about justice of GRMFED's decision in case of alleged offences or punishments for a racing member of GRMFED stuff, the rider or team can ask a person, whose experience and independency is commonly respected, to check GRMFED's decision. GRMFED delivers all neccessary informations and files to the asked person without any useless dalays after official notification of the asked person's name, his assent with this procedure and his e-mail address to the GRMFED. The asked person can approve, cancel or change the GRMFED's decision. The decision of the asked person binds GRMFED.


VIII. Temporary and final articles

38. If the Mallory Park training track file will not be available for practices until 11:59.59 p.m. GMT of 1st November, the race of 6th round would be moved to Oulton Park Int.

39. These rules are forcible since 20th September 2008.

40. The update of rules from 24th September 2008 (art. 12, 13a, 26a and 40) is forcible since 27th September 2008.

41. The update of rules from 27th September 2008 (art. 12, 13a, 26a and 41 - all in bold) is forcible since 30th September 2008.
